But, honestly, that's fairly minor and insignificant in light of everything else this driver does. I would love to see the accidental touch behavior improve a bit. If you are accidentally resting part of your hand against the touchpad and then move the pointer, it takes a split second to figure out that you really do want to actually use the mouse, and then sometimes does a select and drag, or the mouse refuses to move. The only tiny issue I am finding is that it's sometimes not so great with rejection of accidental touches. The difference here is that, as the name of the package suggests, the touchpad registers as a standard precision touchpad, which means that the settings for the driver are all located in the native Windows controls under Settings > Devices > Touchpad. You need to trust the certificate when you are prompted (not entirely crazy about that, but whatever). Just download, unzip, proceed to the 圆4 folder, and right-click+install on AmtPtpDevice.inf (the ".inf" might not show up depending on how you have Windows Explorer configured - it's the second item down in the list). Oh, WOW! I just installed it, which is much easier now that the 圆4 driver no longer requires you to disable signing.

Did not try trackpad++ however, but I tried Apple Bootcamp drivers for trackpad without luck. So all in all, start with this and dont bother with other software. However, I was trying the other solutions available on a different machine and messed with the drivers for a while with no luck. I used this because I couldnt get scroll to work (Magic Trackpad 2 and Windows 10) and now its perfect with other gestures aswell. I installed AmtPtpDeviceUsbUm after using the certificate and it works great on Desktop Windows 10, newest build with USB/lightning connection. If you have any questions, let me know and i'll see if I can help! ⦁ Finally, once your drivers are working, search for 'cmd' and at the c: prompt type "bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF" and then restart your computer. In the end, it was the / 1802 Interim Release / Drivers.2357 that worked for me. I worked my way through the list of released drivers doing trial and error until i found a release that worked for me. Put it this way, the most recent release of drivers (12 July 2018 / 1806 Interim Release / Drivers.2484) didnt work for my mid 2012 retina display macbook pro despite it being one of the supported models. ⦁ * If the install didnt work, then try a different driver release from. ⦁ If the drivers are compatible with your computer, then right away the pinch to zoom gestures, 4 finger swiping between desktops, 'mission control' will all start working straight away without the need to restart your computer.
You must do this! If you try and install drivers from the zip folder it wont work (one of the files will open up as a text file and wont have any option to install it if trying to install from the zip folder without saving it to your computer). ⦁ Unzip the drivers and drag folder onto desktop. You MUST do this! If you try the steps below without restarting, it's not going to work for you.

If you don't do this step, even if you install the drivers as per the steps below, Windows 10 will default to the existing 'signed' drivers which are Microsoft approved).
⦁ At the c: promt type in the following "bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON" and press enter (you need to do this to enable the installation of the unsigned drivers. if you just select ‘open’) then it’s going to look like you are getting an error in the next step.
⦁ Select 'Run as administrator’ - if you don’t do this (I.e. ⦁ On your Windows 10 install, search for ‘cmd’ SOME PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THAT MOUSE DISAPPEARS EVEN IF TRACKPAD++ IS NOT ON THEIR MACHINE! ONCE AGAIN, INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!! INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK! THESE DRIVERS MAY NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE. For sanity's sake, please uninstall trackpad++! If you have trackpad++ installed on you computer, then uninstall this first as otherwise it messes things up (put it this way, my mouse disappeared and i had to reinstall windows again as i couldnt get into safe mode!). Thanks to Ben for creating this brilliant trackpad solution. There is trial and error involved here, but once you get it working its so worth it.
